- Tasks, schedules, reminders, statistics and settings are stored only on your device.
- Our server stores your account (email, name, sign-in method) and short-lived security logs.
- No advertising, no selling of data, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
Planora (“we”, “us”) is a planning app for Android available at planora.day. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@planora.day.
2. Information we collect
Account information (stored on our server)
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Sign-in, account recovery, important service messages | Until you delete your account |
| Display name | Shown in your profile (and, when you use community features, next to your posts) | Until you delete your account |
| Password (as a one-way hash) — email sign-in only | Authentication. We never see or store your actual password | Until you delete your account |
| Google account identifier — Google sign-in only | Linking your Google account to your Planora account | Until you delete your account |
| Account creation date, verification status | Operating the account | Until you delete your account |
| Known sign-in devices (a technical fingerprint) | Detecting sign-ins from new devices to protect your account | Until you delete your account |
Technical logs (stored on our server)
When the app talks to our server, the request is logged with the IP address, time, requested endpoint, response status and device user-agent. We use these logs only for security (for example, blocking brute-force attempts) and troubleshooting. Logs are deleted automatically after 5 days.
Data that stays on your device
Your tasks and ideas, their times, your profile photo, repeat rules and complexity levels, completion status, reminder settings, alert sounds, theme and statistics are stored locally in the app’s private storage. They are not sent to our server. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, they are removed from the device.
Backups you create with Export Data are files you control. If you share them or use Copy to Clipboard to paste your plan into another app or AI assistant, that service’s own privacy policy applies.
Community features
When the community forum opens, anything you post there (topics, replies, votes) is public and shown with your display name, both on planora.day and inside the app. Reports you submit about content are visible only to moderators. Community content is stored on our server until you or a moderator removes it, or you delete your account.
3. Permissions the app uses
- Notifications — to show task reminders.
- Alarms & reminders — to deliver reminders at the exact time you set.
- Run at startup — to restore your reminders after the phone restarts.
- Vibration and wake lock — so a reminder can vibrate and appear while the phone is asleep.
- Internet — to sign in and manage your account.
Planora does not access your contacts, location, microphone, camera or other apps’ data.
4. How we use information
We use account information only to provide and secure the service: signing you in, keeping your account safe, answering your requests and, when needed, sending service messages (for example, email verification). We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or rent personal data.
5. Service providers
- Cloudflare — domain, DNS and secure network connection between the app and our server. Traffic passes through Cloudflare’s network.
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”, to verify your Google sign-in.
- Hosting — our server and website are hosted by infrastructure providers who process data only on our instructions.
If we add push notifications for community features, they will be delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). This policy will be updated before that happens.
6. Legal bases
Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we process account data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), security logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe, and anything optional on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
7. Retention and deletion
Account data is kept until you delete your account. When you delete it — in the app under Account → Delete account, or by following these steps — your account record, sign-in methods and device records are permanently deleted from our server immediately, and the app removes your local data from that device. Security logs expire on their own within 5 days.
If you invited friends or were invited, we keep an anonymised record that an invite was used (without your identity) so invite statistics stay correct.
8. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Most of this you can do in the app; for anything else, email privacy@planora.day. We answer within 30 days.
9. Security
All connections use HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Sign-in endpoints are rate-limited against guessing attacks. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.
10. Children
Planora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
